Meg

Meg Justus is the resident Kenneth Branagh fan on the Movie Forum team (okay, Cat's one too but Meg beat her to the branaghfan email addy). It all came about because of Much Ado About Nothing and a severe case of Benedick-lust, but Meg has never looked back. As a matter of fact, the only Branagh films she hasn’t watched more than once are Celebrity and Fortunes of War. Even The Proposition got screened twice.

But she’d rather watch Hamlet (yes, all four hours of it), Othello, Henry V, Dead Again, The Theory of Flight, etc., etc. - you get the picture!

She lives in Washington State - hey, at least the climate’s like Britain’s - with her two cats and her trusty word processing program. She’s a former librarian with ambitions as a writer.

And a perpetual travel bug. Meg just got back last fall ('99) from a three month sojourn around the entire United States. Movie locations, anyone?

• Anything Kenneth Branagh, with exceptions above
• Almost anything Shakespeare, with exceptions below
• Almost anything romantic - but romance really needs a happy ending <g>
• Dennis Quaid as Remy McSwain in The Big Easy <sigh>
• Kevin Costner as John Dunbar, Crash Davis, and Robin Hood - but as no one else
• Christine Lahti as Sylvie in Housekeeping
• Blockbuster adventure movies in the vein of Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Mask of Zorro, et al.
• A good story

Movie Dislikes

• Baz Luhrman’s Romeo and Juliet
• The Zeffirelli/Gibson and the Olivier Hamlets - Hamlet was not an action hero, and yes, he could make up his mind…
• Pretty much anything with Schwarzenegger, Willis, Stallone and co.
• Art movies that sacrifice story for effect
